wnreyn: While empirical scientific research is exciting and fulfilling, I discovered in graduate school and other experiences that teaching was my true calling. I have worked with children at the elementary, secondary, and collegiate level. Most of my personal activities involve the outdoors and my fiance Courtney. I spend a lot of my spare time training for outdoor adventure races and wilderness adventures. I have traveled the Americas kayaking river gorges and oceans and biking and hiking in the mountains.
